New Barn Quilt Square in Hickman County

John and Kim Jackson are thrilled to be chosen for a quilt barn project hosted by Tri County Homemakers. The beautiful 8 X 8 square is mounted on the Jackson’s red barn overlooking a quaint country pond. It is located at the intersection of Highway 307 and Highway 94 in the Enon Community. The colors of blue, yellow, red, cream and green were painted by Carol Stewart, Dale Batts, Jill and Hunter Whitesell on a frame constructed by Phillip White. John Jackson built a metal trough for the quilt to be hung by and was assisted in hanging by Curtis Hancock, Danny Kimbell and Chad Batts. Fulton Decorating and Tri-County Homemakers supplied the paint that was used making this a true community project. There are now 14 barn/freestanding quilt squares in Hickman County. Call Hickman County Extension service for more information about the quilt trail at 653-2231.
