SOLDIERS LADY

by

Batts Farm Sunflower Quilt (9)An 8X8 fiberglass square is a Civil War pattern erected on a barn on Dale Batts’ farm, 4512 State Route 1529E, Fulton, Ky 42041 and displayed in 2010. This block ‘Soldiers Lady’ was painted by Dale’s daughter, Carol and her husband, Gary and replaces the original, Triple Sunflowers, pictured on the blog header.(It was painted on exterior plywood in 2006 and deteriorated.) Dale is a member of TriCounty Homemaker Club and was instrumental in getting Hickman County’s many barn quilts erected after reading an article in Kentucky Living magazine. The ‘Triple Sunflower’ square is also pictured in ‘Kentucky Quilt Trails-Views and Voices’. GPS coordinates: N36 deg-35.87 W 88 deg – 53.29
